And yet another Wartburg 311. Originally a 1958 Wartburg, at some point the original frame was fitted with a replacement body. Sometime after the fall of the Wall, the car went to the Netherlands until it returned to Germany in the early 1920s. It no longer made sense to dismantle it, so the owner decided to build a DeLuxe limousine from 1962. The general condition was – as is so often the case – just bad. Many years of downtime and little love for the Wartburg caused, for example, a water-oil mixture in the gearbox, extensive rust in the trunk and other minor damage. Some special requests from the owner also increased the costs.
